Harmony Federation is Ireland's national male barbershop chorus, with members from all over the country. We are holding an open rehearsal and recruitment day on Saturday 11th November (10.30am to 5pm) in St.
We're delighted to be back singing (and recruiting) - and in a magnificent new rehearsal venue. We are also really looking forward to more 'normal' times in 2022. until then we wish you all a safe and peaceful Christmas and here's hoping for a Happy New Year. Come join us.
To further celebrate our return to singing we held an open day in the Westgrove Hotel in Clane, Co' Kildare. What a day it turned out to be. Along with our visitors who turned up for the day we worked on two new songs and finished off with a rendition of 'Irish Blessing'. Great to be back and we hope to welcome our visitors back as members in the not too distant future. 'Irish Blessing' is our audition song and can be downloaded from our website. But for now have a listen to it as we sang it yesterday.
Harmony Federation is Ireland's national male barbershop chorus, with members from all over the country. We are holding an open rehearsal and recruitment day on Saturday 13th November (10.30am to 5pm) in the Westgrove Hotel, Clane, Co. Kildare (W91 YWE0 - zero at the end). It is an excellent opportunity for singers to experience the barbershop style. Our director is Linda Corcoran, whose UK chorus - Great Western Chorus - has been Barbershop Champion on 10 occasions.
Almost all of us are also in other choirs, and we only rehearse once per month. Anyone interested can contact us at [email protected].
Aviva, teamed up with Harmony Federation and supporters from all four provinces to sing Ireland’s Call alongside Andy Farrell’s men before kick-off as Ireland take on Wales in the first match of the Guinness Series, tonight Friday 13th November.
We are thrilled to have collaborated with Aviva and the IRFU to bring the fans voices back to our national side's home games. Excited to see the final result on the night! Go here to see how can join us to see what we do - even during a pandemic!!
I know we are locked down but that didn't stop us meeting up. Thanks to the wonders of Zoom we met up last night for some craic and bad jokes but most importantly to stay connected during these disconnected times. All a bit weird at the moment, so more than ever it's important to stay in touch until we can sing together again.
On February 14-16th this year we joined a load of our IABS friends for the Big Sing which this year was held at the lovely County Arms Hotel in Birr, Co. Offaly. Suffice to say we had a ball which you can see in this video when the men performed for the ladies of IABS on Saturday afternoon having workshopped this song and others during the day. If you like great company, great harmony and great craic consider joining us or recommending us to others please.
